Hip-Hop先锋Heavy D于美国当地时间11月8日去世，年仅44岁。据TMZ报道，他在紧急送进洛杉矶的一家医院后下午1点宣布不治身亡。TMZ还说他患有肺炎，应该是呼吸衰竭导致。

Heavy D是Hip-Hop团体Heavy D and the Boyz的主将，拥有多首经典歌曲包括Now That We Found Love。是第一个与Uptown Records签约的团体，在1987发行首张专辑Living Large。几个星期前，他刚刚在2011 BET Hip Hop Awards和向Michael Jackson致敬的演唱会上演出。又失去一位Hip-Hop先锋真是令人惋惜。
