Clinton Brown接受New York Daily News谈到他们重新回归在一起的时候，他毫不掩饰心中的想法：

“I personally really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together.”

作为父亲，他真的不希望儿子和Rihanna复合 。

Chris的父亲解释为什么他们的爱情不会长久：

“You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical.”

他们分分合合，Clinton认为他们无法很好地平衡好他们的关系。

不过，Clinton对Rihanna个人还是有高度的评价：

“She’s beautiful, she’s exotic, she’s successful.”

而他认为Rihanna现在这种爱玩的状态只要改变，她就可以成为一个好母亲，但他好像对儿子没有信心：

“(Rihanna) would make a good mom. I think she would probably have to change some of her antics — the party attitude would probably have to change. I don’t think they would just whimsically and spontaneously have a child with them being in this mode. That’s why I don’t see it happening — but anything’s possible, man.”
