Apple在花了公司史上最多的钱收购了Dr.Dre和Jimmy Iovine创立的Beats耳机和Beats Music音乐流媒体服务后，重新改造把它捆绑在苹果系统是必然的。

金融时报报道，Apple将在明年把Beats Music流媒体订阅服务植入iPhone和iPad系统出厂配置里。明年买到的iPhone和iPad将有这个功能。

Apple plans to load the subscription music service it obtained from its acquisition of Beats into the iOS operating system powering iPhones and iPads as soon as early next year, according to the Financial Times (subscription required).

By preloading the service — which may not use the Beats name — on its devices, Apple gains an edge in promoting its own offer over the competition, which includes Spotify and Rhapsody. A subscription music service would represent a new revenue stream and keeps customers locked into the Apple ecosystem.

在系统里的名字可能不会叫Beats。苹果公司发言人对报道不予置评。

The plummeting download numbers help illustrate why Apple bought the $10-a-month subscription streaming service Beats Music earlier this year, as part of its $3 billion acquisition that included headphone maker Beats Electronics.

Apple is rebuilding Beats Music and plans to relaunch it next year as part of iTunes, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Tech Crunch报道引用了5位业内的消息源，表示苹果关闭了Beats Music业务，并且把这部门员工派遣到其他业务，但随后苹果公司反驳了这个报道，并表示，苹果没有关闭这个业务，但会重塑Beats Music，包括更名：

Apple has told TechCrunch that our report of Beats being shut down “is not true”, but sources familiar with the situation tell Re/code that Apple “may, however, modify [Beats Music] over time, and one of those changes could involved changing the Beats Music brand.” This aligns with what my sources said, which is that the Beats Music brand will be shut down, but that it’s unclear what Apple wants to do in streaming music. It seems quite possible that the Beats Music product could be rolled into iTunes rather than being ‘shuttered’, but that’s semantics.

非常多的用户更新之后发现无法连接网络，Touch ID指纹识别失灵等一系列问题，苹果被迫撤回iOS 8软件的更新并发布声明。这是后乔布斯时代的苹果。

USA Today：

On Wednesday, Apple introduced the update as a remedy for a snag with HealthKit apps and other maladies that afflicted the first version of the company’s new mobile operating system software for iPhones and iPads.

But reports surfaced that the update introduced other problems. On Twitter, some of the folks who had installed the update said that they lost cellular service or that the Touch ID fingerprint scanner was no longer working.

“We are actively investigating these reports and will provide information as quickly as we can,” said Apple in a statement. “In the meantime, we have pulled back the iOS 8.0.1 update.”

Apple also addressed an issue where third-party keyboards could be deselected when a user entered a passcode. And 8.0.1 fixes an issue that had prevented some apps from accessing photos in your photo library.

When Apple’s online store came back online this afternoon at around 12:00 p.m. PT, the iPod classic — the company’s last touchscreen-less music player that first debuted in 2007 — was gone.

It’s no surprise that Apple bid farewell to its sixth generation iPod. The device eventually held as much as 160GB of music and accounted for a healthy chunk of the 54.83 million iPod units shipped at the division’s sales peak in 2009. Yet those numbers began steadily sliding downward as Apple’s iPhone and competing Android smartphones sales begin to eat into the MP3 market, while new device form factors like the iPad tablet carved out a new product niche.

The patent describes the ability to power multiple devices at once off one central hub.

几个星期前，有报道说Dr. Dre和联合创始人Jimmy Iovine将以32亿美元把耳机公司Beats Electronics和旗下的Beats Music音乐流媒体服务卖给苹果公司。经过，这么多天的谈判，苹果终于确认对它进行收购。不过，收购价格变成了30亿美元，少了2亿美元。

苹果公司的收购中花去现金26亿美元和苹果公司4亿美元的股权转让。

Dre和Iovine都将成为苹果公司音乐分支领域的主要领袖之一。

CEO Tim Cook告诉美联社他们的联姻其实在10年前就开始了：

“We have known these guys forever,” Apple CEO Tim Cook told the AP. “We’ve dated, we’ve gone steady and now we are getting married. This relationship started a decade ago, so we know there is an incredible cultural fit. These two guys have a very rare set of skills. It’s like finding a particular grain of sand on the beach. It’s that rare.”
