Reach Records star Lecrae recently secured an endorsement from a southern hip-hop legend who believes he has a chance to win the best rap performance Grammy Award over Eminem.

Bun B, one half of the southern hip-hop group UGK (Underground Kings) recently made a statement to Rapzilla.com about Lecrae and the strengthened presence of Christian music, which is also influenced by Mali Music’s nominations at the award show.

“I’m sure that no matter the outcome, they’re both very honored to be nominated,” said Bun B to Rapzilla through a text message. “It’s great when hard work gets acknowledged. Even better when it’s rewarded. I think they got it personally but I know they can handle it gracefully if they don’t.”

说唱元老Bun B宣布新专辑The Epilogue，并且公布发行时间定在今年11月12日。

专辑是UGK传奇的Trill系列专辑的最后一张，将吸纳Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Raekwon, Kirko Bangz, Big K.R.I.T., Z-Ro等加入。

Bun对专辑的想法：

It’s a lot of good music that either didn’t fit the format of the last album or that we decided to save for another project. I sat down with my long time business partner and Rap-A-Lot CEO James Prince to review the music that we had and quickly came up with an outstanding track list. The Epilogue is the perfect opportunity to release some great material to the fans and a proper final chapter for the Trill-ogy. Good music is timeless.

已经去世将近6周年的嘻哈先锋Pimp C的家里又传来悲伤的消息，他的母亲刚刚去世。

UGK好兄弟Bun B第一时间报道了这一消息：

Thanks to everyone that has sent prayers and condolences. She was a great woman. Nurture us from boys to men and made us strong enough to handle this industry. She was the one that kept us going when we didn’t wanna go anymore. She was the backbone of UGK, the definition of loyalty, the personification of unconditional love and the essence of what being Trill really meant. She’s finally reunited with her son. God bless you both. RIP Mama Wes. You gave everything to make us Underground Kings.

Pimp C的母亲在美国时间周日去世，据报道说，她是死于突发疾病不治。

“It’s all on me now. But they built me for this. So I got it. #RIPPimpC #RIPMommaWes #UGK4Life #PATrill,” Bun tweeted August 18. (Bun B’s Twitter)

On Yelawolf：
“Yelawolf I think is an incredible emcee. I think as we emcees say breath control, his ability to put together as many words as possible before he has to take another breath. It’s something that not a lot of people can do, but he’s learned how to construct songs based off of that breath control, which I think is extremely impressive.”

On Kendrick Lamar：
“I’d probably have to say Kendrick Lamar. Having Dr. Dre as an overseer definitely helps, but he’s very tenacious. He’s very raw and he’s hype all the time. He’s very excited to be rapping at any given moment.”
