Will Smith老婆Jada作为电影纪录片Free Angela 制作人接受Huffington Post采访时，回应传言称两人已经维持公开婚姻 (夫妇双方都同意婚外性关系的婚姻) 好几年。

Jada说：我跟Will说过，你可以做你想做的一切，但只要你问心无愧。

“I’ve always told Will, ‘You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be OK,'”

Jada继续说，最终是Will选择他想成为什么样的人，要对自己负责：

“Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man. I’m here as his partner, but he is his own man. He has to decide who he wants to be and that’s not for me to do for him. Or vice versa.”

被问到如何让两人关系持久保持保鲜？Jada说：

“I think that you have to go into a relationship knowing — especially when you’re dedicating yourself to someone for the rest of your life — this is a life partnership. He’s (Will) been by my side through some of the most difficult parts of my life. And so that’s something you can never take away.”
