但‘Ye决定不再做真正的制作人，因为John Legend近日接受采访时透露Kanye不再制作beat。不过，Kanye仍然留在制作领域，起指导他人的作用，融入自己的创作灵感, 最终产生作品。

Legend说：

“He doesn’t really make beats anymore. But he suggests beats to write to. He has all these young producers coming through and he just curates it and just helps put the album together. He helps write songs, he curates the beat selection, all that, song selection and helps with the videos.”

他继续说到：

“We think of production as making beats, but production is the vision and Kanye is a producer in a classic sense, that’s how Quincy Jones was.”
