50 Cent最近对即将发行的新专辑进行了广泛地宣传，采访必然会被问到成为独立厂牌的事。在最新来到堪萨斯城的Hot 103 Jams采访，已经脱离主厂牌的Fif再次被问起离开Interscope的原因。

Fif指出他对SMS Audio耳机公司投资的举动最终导致他和Interscope公司产生隔阂。Fif表示，他认为Interscope厂牌现在和Dr.Dre及Jimmy Iovine的 Beats By Dre耳机品牌联系非常紧密。这让Fif很难继续留在Interscope。

Fif提到，Interscope几乎已经变成了Beats By Dre耳机公司，我投资SMS耳机让他们很害怕。Interscope的员工们明显在怕。

“The whole building was leaning in a wrong direction for me. Interscope was kind of turning into ‘Beats By Dre Records’, Because I invested in SMS Audio and had a different priority, it was like they were afraid to do a lot of things. I’m not sure all of it was Jimmy’s intentions, but the staff was scared straight.”

Fif分享了一个细节，在和Eminem, Adam Levine拍摄My Life MV时，Fif收到Interscope的指令，MV里不能出现Fif的SMS耳机。Fif还说，在Interscope 他对他的专辑以及单曲选择没有话语权，他举了Amusement Park的例子:

“When you’re having a staff meeting and people are deciding what songs should go first or how you should actually go… To give you an example, When I launched ‘Amusement Park’ that definitely wasn’t my pick,” states 50. “It was a song that reminded them of ‘Candy Shop.’ That was an easy hit for the system.”

50 Cent最终在上个月选择离开Interscope和Dre的Aftermath及Eminem的Shady Records，但他和Eminem依然关系很好，对Dre没有消极态度。
